This is a club for teens only, ages 12-18 who share a common interest in Manga, Anime, and all things related. Teens are welcome to come discuss current Manga they have been reading, new series they'd like to see, and hang out with peers, complete with a snack and beverage. What started out as a once a month event now meets every two weeks to hang out in addition to a special monthly event.

The Smoot Library Teen Advisory Board is made up of teens ages 12-18 who volunteer their time to bring programming ideas and recommendations to the Youth Services Librarian for how the library can better serve teens and their needs. They also work on various projects as a group and volunteer with events for children, and advertise for other teen programs at Smoot. The TAB members generally meet once a month on Fridays from 4:00 to 5:00p.m. All teens are welcome to come meet the Smoot Library TAB members and bring their recommendations to the Board. Snacks and drinks will be provided at TAB Meetings.

The TAB is currently accepting applications for new members to join in the fun! If you would like to become more involved in your community, work with and meet other teens your age, and suggest ways to improve teen services to the King George community -- please submit an application to Youth Services Librarian, Katie Pikula, as soon as possible! Teen Game Nights are a monthly program at the Smoot Library for teens ages 12-18. Once a month, the library opens its doors after closing on Friday evenings for a couple hours of classic board games, Wii Nintendo, group games, and music for teens to enjoy and hang out. Snacks and beverages are provided. No registration is necessary -- anyone 12 to 18 may come anytime!
